Alison Stephens (1970 – 2010)

Mike Maran Productions wishes to thank the audiences who came to see A Christmas Carol during its recent tour over the festive period for their great generosity.

We gave 16 performances and at the end of every show we invited the audience to contribute towards a memorial for Ali Stephens who wrote the music. The response was magnificent and we collected £2,420. Thankyou. We have forwarded the money to Trinity College in Greenwich where Ali studied and taught music and where there will be an Alison Stephens Memorial Prize.

Captain Corelli's Mandolin

Our adaptation of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin with Alison Stephens and Anne Evans is sadly no longer available. However, in October 2011 Mike Maran worked on a new adaptation, in association with The Mercury Theatre in Colchester and The Marjanishvili Theatre in Tblisi. It was a stage version for five actors with a huge cast of puppets and opened at The Marjanishvili on 3 October, followed by three weeks in Colchester, where it was greeted with great enthusiasm.
